Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a very light, rhythmical form of massage using no oil, and a series of pumping actions to stimulate the lymphatic system.
It is effective in helping to detoxify the body, enhancing immune function, reducing swelling, puffiness and fluid retention, improving skin tone, and speeding up injury healing time. It can also improve many chronic conditions such as sinusitis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, acne and other skin conditions.
This treatment is often suggested by surgeons as part of the recovery process post-surgery.
The lymphatic system is very superficial so only a very light pressure should be applied to perform the treatment effectively.

Concentrated on the back, neck, and shoulder area, specific oils are used to release tension and help soothe tight, sore muscles, which result from wear and tear or incorrect posture. This massage applies pressure to muscles, to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from stressed areas.
